Budgies

Budgies (Melopsittacus undulatus) are the most popular pet parrots out there, and it’s not difficult to see why. This hardy little species is originally found in Australia, but has made its way around the world and been selectively bred extensively to produce all sorts of different colors and patterns.

Don’t be mistaken: just because a budgie is seen as a beginner bird, doesn’t mean yours doesn’t deserve the same level of care you’d provide a larger parrot. They’re smart, trainable, social and a joy to be around.
